Travel Insurance - Breakdown, Indemnity, Assurance, Comparison
How often do you go on holiday, maybe once a year, so the last thing you want to happen is for something outside your control either delaying, stopping or ruining the holiday that you have saved up for and looked forward to for months. You may consider yourself, hand on heart, to be in good health, but, there are always accidents waiting to happen. So taking out a travel insurance policy means, it’s much better to be safe than sorry.
Not every country has reciprocal healthcare arrangements with the UK, and most of these are based on emergency procedures. Meanwhile, the United States has NO reciprocal arrangement with the UK, which means that falling ill “across the Atlantic” could mean you are left with a very large bill.
Also, travel insurance can cover loss of luggage/personal belongings such as passports and money, repatriation costs and cancelled/delayed flights. With all these possible expenses, it’s easy to see why taking out a comprehensive travel insurance policy is essential and highly recommended.
