The basic principles

- In considering your application the Lenders will each search your records at the other agencies (the full details of which are set out below) and will add to your credit record details of that search and your application. This will be seen by other organisations carrying out later searches. By sending information to us in any form, you give JST Financial Solutions Limited and their associated partners the permission to respond in the form of email, text messages, fax, and mail or by telephone. The Lenders will also add to your credit record details of any agreement you enter into with the lenders, the payments you make under it and any default or failure to keep its terms. It is therefore very important that any information you provide to the Lender is accurate because they will check your details with the Other Agencies, and if you give them false or inaccurate information and/or they suspect fraud, this information will be recorded by them and be available to other organisations carrying out later searches. 
 
The Other Agencies records will be used and searched by the Lenders and other organisations to: 

(1) Help make decisions about credit and credit related services for you and and members of your household. 
(2) Help make decision about motor, household, credit, life and other insurance proposals and insurance claims for you and members of your household.
(3) Trace debtors, recover debt, prevent fraud and to manage your account or insurance policies.
(4) Check your identity to prevent money laundering, unless you furnish the Lenders with other satisfactory proof of identity.

In addition, the Lenders and the Other Agencies will also use these records for statistical analysis about credit, insurance and fraud. Your application will be submitted as required by ourselves to obtain finance for you. Your finance proposal will be submitted to the relevant finance company, in assessing your application, finance companies will make enquiries about you including searching your records held by Equifax Plc and/or Experian Ltd (or any other credit reference agency from time to time) and checking your details with CIFAS and/or HUNTER (or any other fraud prevention agency from time to time). The credit reference and fraud prevention agencies will each keep details of any search. This information may be used to help finance companies and other organisations assess the financial risks of dealing with you and other members of your household, to help make decisions on insurance proposals and insurance claims, to administer agreements with you, to help prevent or detect fraud or other crimes and recover debts and for statistical analysis about credit and about insurance and fraud. If you give false or inaccurate information and fraud is suspected then this will be recorded. The finance companies may use a 'credit scoring' or other automated process in deciding whether to accept your application. This may involve searching your records again at one or more credit reference agencies (who will keep details of the search) as well as using other information they hold about you.

We confirm your consent to the use of your personal information for these purposes. We will disclose your personal information:

To our agents and Sub-contractors (including those based outside the European Economic Area) under a strict code of secrecy and security 
To any person to whom we transfer our rights or obligations under the agreement.
If we are compelled to do so by law and for fraud prevention purposes 
To licensed credit reference agencies to help us and others make credit decisions.
To third parties to enable them to provide details of products or services you may be interested in.

Marketing Information: By accepting our terms and conditions you, the applicant agree that JST Financial Solutions Limited and associate companies may solicit by mail, e-mail, text message, or by telephone for any further products including home collections services. JST Financial Solutions Limited will retain information provided by you on computer. One of the ways your information will be used is to send you information or phone you about other products or services offered by JST Financial Solutions Limited or other carefully selected companies.

Please could all applicants take the time to read the following correspondence as it explains how the lenders use CIFA’s, one of the UK’s fraud prevention services, prior to them making their lending decision.
	

In applying for a loan we will use credit-scoring or other automated systems to assess your application and verify your identity.

We will search your records through credit reference agencies who will supply credit information as well as information from the Electoral Register.

They will always record details of this search.

We and other companies may use these records and other information to make credit and insurance related decisions about you, and help manage your account.

The records may also be used to make credit decisions about your current spouse, partner or any other individual identified as being financially associated with you.

We will check your details with fraud prevention agencies.

Should you provide false or inaccurate information and we suspect fraud, we will record this and the information may be used by law enforcement agencies.

We and other organisations may use these records and information recorded by fraud prevention
agencies in other countries to prevent fraud and money laundering.

Britons advised to start saving

Britons have been advised to start budgeting their income and to make cutbacks where possible by one sector commentator.

Cesarina Holm-Kander, business and personal finance journalist and host of Channel 4's Your Money or Your Wife, said that some people may even consider seeking recommendations from the credit consumer bureau in order to avoid bankruptcy.

"It's all the general stuff but people sometimes have trouble taking it on board; it's cut back where you can, it's fix where you can, guarantee where you can, think before you spend," she explained.

When it came to a credit card, Ms Holm-Kander advised that Britons should work hard to reduce the balance they had on their plastics.

A report by Capital One claims that the UK could collectively save £14 billion by adjusting personal finances to cope with the changing market conditions.

In addition, 44 per cent of people believe that the UK economy is currently facing a recession.
