Plans for the festive season

Published: 26 September 2008 in Credit Cards

It may still be three months away but already the UK is getting into the festive spirit in time for Christmas.

Britons on the hunt for a new credit card may be interested to hear that Edinburgh has a "fantastic" programme of seasonal events, according to one sector commentator.

Nickie Gott, managing director of She's Gott It! - producer of the city's Christmas activities - said the Scottish capital was now one of the most popular tourist destinations in the UK, after London.

For a winter break, she claimed the city offered visitors markets, fun fairs, storytelling, carol singing, pantomimes and live music.

"Edinburgh is known as one of the most exhilarating cities to visit all year round and our Christmas and Hogmanay celebrations for New Year offer visitors and residents even more reason to enjoy the festive period," Ms Gott added.

Credit card customers may also be interested to hear that Edinburgh is the festival destination being recognised as one of the most exhilarating locations to visit all year round, according to PR company Stripe.
