A more exotic breed of hen

Published: 3 September 2008 in Unsecured Loans

Stag and hen weekends are moving away from locations such as Blackpool and towards a more exotic destination, it has been asserted.

In news that may be of interest to those seeking unsecured loans, Ben Rodger, marketing manager of releasetravel.co.uk, said pre-wedding parties were looking for new places to explore and escape their current financial worries.

He said that his company had seen an increase in stag groups heading to Las Vegas and hens flying to New York.

"We have actually noticed an increase this year on the amount of money groups are spending on their weekends," Mr Rodger added.

He concluded that people would always want to celebrate before their wedding day, whatever the economic climate.

Meanwhile, people seeking unsecured loans may be interested to note a Halifax report in 2007 that revealed 8.6 million Britons had taken a single sex holiday in the previous year and 25 per cent of these were attributed to stag and hen trips.
