Unsecured Loans - Brits 'more able' to work abroad

Published: 27 August 2008
Britons are becoming better at adapting to life working or retiring in a foreign country, it has been claimed.
In news that may be of interest to those seeking unsecured loans to fund such a move, Dave Isley, head of NatWest International Personal Banking, said factors such as the globalisation of companies and ease of travel between destinations had eased this transition.
"People aren't escaping the UK because they don't like the UK. They're moving from the UK because the opportunities that they've been given to work abroad are there, whereas they might not have been before," he explained.
Mr Isley went on to add that English-speaking countries such as New Zealand and Canada were proving particularly popular.
In related news that may interest those looking at unsecured loans, the most recent NatWest International Personal Banking Quality of Life survey found that 48 per cent of expatriates who had moved to Canada admitted their sense of Britishness was diminishing.
