'Two million' turning pleasure to business

Published: 1 September 2008 in Unsecured Loans

Almost two million Britons have turned one or more of their hobbies into a business venture, it has been claimed.

In news that may be of interest to those seeking unsecured loans, Direct Line has revealed that many of these people are keen to gain a more enjoyable outlook on their working life by going down this route.

Further to this, 53 per cent of full-time workers said it was their dream to become self-employed, while 44 per cent of those who had already gone it alone said they wish they had done so earlier.

However, 25 per cent of the people polled said they did not know where the money to fund such a scheme would come from and 16 per cent said they were scared of failure.

Kate Syred, head of Direct Line for Business, said: "For those who are willing to put the dedication in to succeed, it can transform your favourite pastime into an income-generator and can add an extra dimension of enthusiasm into a day-to-day routine."

In related news that may be of interest to those seeking unsecured loans, many Britons are now finding holidays more expensive, according to TravelSupermarket.com.
